Home Town Shopper's Discount Cards are in circulation

Friday, December 7, 2007. Pearl Harbor Day. Also the day the hometown shopper's discount cards hit the streets. This is a direct response retail promotion, one of several that came out of the Ed Wendland program we launched last summer.

The way the promotion works is this: The consumer receives their card as a gift from their local bank or credit union (this way our financial institution partners are receiving some benefit for handing out the cards.) The consumer then goes into any one of the participating stores listed on the front to shop. What are the discounts you ask? They are whatever the participating stores want to offer, which they may change at any time. The program is designed to generate traffic into the stores. The cards can be used over and over again.

Why no expiration date? What if someone comes into my store six months from now looking for a discount? Our advice is be glad that customers are coming into your store and offer them something like buy one and get a discount on a second one. It's up to you. We only want to help generate foot traffic into your stores!
